Many art galleries have public programs and classes for kids or teens over the school holidays to help inspire their creativity. This can include classes introducing them to drawing, digital photography, or even basket weaving. Libraries are also fantastic places for creatively minded kids, with books on crafts, photography, gardening, and more.

What are other creative ways to engage kids and the whole family?
Take a family trip to your regional or state art gallery. Many have free or discounted entry and are located in scenic areas.

Film cameras and Polaroids are fun, affordable options to encourage kids to document their summer.
